IRAQ TODAY title sequence :: [VIEW]
Title sequence for a current affairs programme. Collaborated on the concept and design and was in charge of the compositing and 2D/3D animation. Iraqi women are typically portrayed as victims in the media. Using a visual theme of embroidery we chose to begin with that image then literally unstitched it and recreated a new, more positive image of the reality for Iraqi women. The featured figures are all inspirational, instantly recognisable women in Iraq.
RAMADAN seasonal ident :: [VIEW]
An ident to be played leading up to the festival of Ramadan. I partially rebuilt, textured and animated the elements in the existing 3D scene. I also composited the 3D in After Effects and created and animated the background. Final composite/grade in Shake by Ian Humphrey at Turquoise.
SAUDI FOOTBALL programme branding :: [VIEW]
Saudi Television refresh of their flagship football program. The idea was to bring attention to the focus, movement, precision and power involved in the game. I worked on the trails you see following the players and pulled some of the green screens. We didn’t want to rely on plug-ins for the effect so I set about creating some basic trails from the players’ movements and used them as a luminance matte to reveal some specially shot smoke trail footage. This gave a much more organic, individual result as opposed to the quick fix, computer generated plug-in look. Final grade by Ian Humphrey at Turquoise.
STV WEATHER ident :: [VIEW]
A short ident that plays 5 times an hour to introduce the weather update on Saudi TV. This job also involved designing 50 or so weather icons that went into their local online system. Mostly 2D work in After Effects with a 3D ribbon from Cinema 4D composited in on the end title hold. Final grade in After Effects.
